Wheeled racks with inclined frames that hold material upright — panels, doors, frames, and rods stand on edge instead of lying flat. Four models cover different load profiles: Gecko for everyday workshop transport, Nautilus for mixed boards and oversized back-storage panels, Capreolus for finished surfaces that can't touch each other, and Picus for large panels and frames. Lengths up to 2,500 mm standard (3,000 mm with telescopic options).
Each transport rack model is purpose-built for specific material types, but three core principles run through every Jowi Transport Rack — and explain why these racks are the standard for protecting finished work as it moves through the shop.
Every model uses a deliberate frame inclination — some tilt to the side, some to the back, some both. The slight angle uses gravity to hold material in place, so panels and doors stay put during transport without straps or chocks. Even when you push a fully loaded rack across rough flooring, nothing shifts.
Support tubes separating compartments are coated with plastic to protect material surfaces. No metal-on-finish contact, no marks transferring to varnished doors or laminated panels. Combined with optional brush-edged shelves on Capreolus, the rack actively protects the work it carries.
Two ergonomic handles, easy-rolling castors with directional locks available, and adjustable intermediate shelves on most models. One operator can move a fully loaded rack safely, lock the wheels when staged, and reconfigure shelves to match the next job — without tools or supervision.
Each model is engineered for a specific kind of vertical storage. Gecko is the everyday workhorse. Nautilus handles mixed material plus oversized panels with telescopic back storage. Capreolus protects delicate finishes with separate compartments. Picus moves large panels and frames with a back-inclined design that even handles rods.
Inclined both to the side and to the back — that dual incline is what makes the Gecko a workhorse. Panels, bars, poles, tubes, even skis stand stable during transport. The dual incline cradles round material in place where a single-axis tilt would let rods roll. Material can also be stored horizontally in 8 storeys without any modification — one rack handles both modes.
Two ergonomic handles, easy-roll castors, and a directional lock on the right-hand rear wheel (standard on GE2-590-2/1). Lockable swivel castors prevent the rack from rolling when staged. Ideal partner for edge banders, CNC routers, and saws — finished parts off the machine, into the rack, on to the next station.
Inclined to the side. Parts stored side by side. Where the Nautilus differs from the Gecko is the back: pull-out telescopic supports add capacity for large panels up to 3 × 2 m. So one rack handles regular boards in the front compartments AND occasional large panels in the telescopic back — you don't need a second rack for the oversized work.
Available in two depths (590 mm and 780 mm) for different material widths. Pull-out push handle adjusts to two positions to accommodate the back being loaded with large panels. Two handles plus easy-roll castors mean one person can push a fully laden rack safely. All front material works horizontally or vertically without conversion.
Capreolus is the answer when surface protection is non-negotiable. Each component stores in its own separate, width-adjustable compartment with plastic-coated support tubes. No two parts ever come into contact with one another — ideal for finished doors, varnished cabinet fronts, painted panels, or anything where a single contact mark means rework. The inclined design stabilizes the vertical load even on rough flooring.
Compartment spacing is configurable via socket head screws: tight spacing (22 compartments at 40 mm) for thin panels, wider spacing (11 compartments at 103 mm) for thicker material. Three depths available (590, 780, or 920 mm) for different material widths. Smooth shelves come standard; brush-edged shelves available on request for even more delicate finishes.
Note: Capreolus is for vertical transport only. Intermediate shelves cannot be fitted — the separate-compartment design is what makes the model work.
Inclined to the back instead of the side. That back-inclined design is what makes Picus the best choice for large panels, worktops, doors, windows, and frames. The slight back tilt keeps even round material stable during transport — rods and tubes don't roll off the front. A mechanical catch prevents loads from slipping, and the design is suitable for additional restraining straps.
Picus folds down for site transport — fits in a van or truck for delivery to a job site. Lightweight, simple design. Two width options (X up to 1.5 m, XX up to 3 m). Support tube option (AR29-0380) lets you switch to horizontal storage for narrow material. Particularly good for the work that doesn't fit anywhere else: worktops, packages, rolls of fabric, metal rods, narrow panels.
A simple two-question decision tree gets you to the right model. The first question separates Capreolus from the others; the second narrows down which of the remaining three is the best fit.
Separate compartments needed (finished doors, varnished panels, anything that can't touch other parts) → Capreolus. Width-adjustable individual compartments with plastic-coated tubes keep parts isolated.
Parts can be stacked together → move to question 2 to choose between Nautilus, Gecko, and Picus.
Mainly large panels (worktops, doors, frames) → Picus. Back-inclined design is stable for panels and even handles rods. Folds for site transport.
Boards plus occasional narrow parts or rods → Gecko. The side-and-back tilt cradles round material so rods don't roll. Pairs ideally with edge banders, CNC routers, and saws.
Boards plus occasional large panel → Nautilus. Front compartments for regular boards, telescopic back storage for the oversized work.
If your standard material exceeds 2,500 mm (the typical Transport Rack length), Picus is usually the answer. Long, narrow material and rods over 2.5 m can be transported on Picus models with appropriate support tubes (AR29-0380) and the back-incline geometry that keeps long thin loads stable.
Gecko and Nautilus can both convert to horizontal storage without any alteration — pull out the middle shelf and push over the support tube. One rack handles both modes.
Capreolus is vertical only — the separate-compartment design doesn't support horizontal conversion. Picus can use optional support tubes (AR29-0380) for horizontal storage of narrow material.
Standard transport racks handle most use cases. The accessories below address specific scenarios — job ticket organization, restraining loads for site transport, replacement parts, and intermediate shelving for added capacity.
Clip fastens onto 23 mm diameter support tube. Hold job tickets, cut lists, or work orders on the rack itself — operators always know what's on the rack and where it's going. Compatible with Gecko, Nautilus, and Capreolus.
3 meters long, 300 kg maximum lashing capacity. Secures material on the rack for site transport or longer hauls. Compatible with Picus, Nautilus, and the back of Capreolus.
