Ott Edgebanders

StrongEdge

Built for thick edges: up to 25 mm on panels up to 80 mm.

The StrongEdge is the first model in the Ott lineup capable of applying edge thicknesses up to 25 mm on panels up to 80 mm thick. An 8.6-meter frame with TransStart automated infeed compatibility, servo-controlled 4-position radius scrapers, and the patented Combimelt glue system handles applications most edgebanders can't touch — solid wood lippings, thick PVC, ABS edges, and architectural millwork at full thickness.

Overview

The Ott Built for Thick-Edge Work

The StrongEdge is built for shops that hit the limits of conventional edgebanders. With edge thickness capacity up to 25 mm and panel thickness up to 80 mm, it handles applications most edgebanders simply can't run: solid wood lippings, thick PVC, structural ABS edges, and architectural millwork at full thickness.

Like the Storm Plus, the StrongEdge features TransStart automated infeed compatibility and servo-controlled 4-position radius scrapers. The 8.6-meter frame provides the workstation length needed for processing thick edges and heavy panels with the same invisible-glue-joint quality the Combimelt system delivers across the lineup.

For door manufacturers, commercial casework producers, and architectural millwork shops working at the upper end of thickness specifications, the StrongEdge is the only Ott edgebander that handles the full range.

The StrongEdge is Right For You If…

  • You apply edge thicknesses above 15 mm — up to 25 mm on the StrongEdge
  • You process panels thicker than 60 mm — up to 80 mm on the StrongEdge
  • Your work includes solid wood lippings, thick PVC, or structural ABS edges
  • You want TransStart automated infeed compatibility on the larger 8.6-meter frame
  • You produce architectural millwork, commercial casework, or doors with thick-edge requirements
